KHAZANAH CLARIFIES ROLE IN ASSISTING THE GOVERNMENT IN KPI SETTING FOR MINISTERS

Following the announcement made by the Prime Minister, YAB Dato’ Sri Mohd Najib Tun Abdul Razak on 15 April 2009 regarding the introduction of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for Cabinet Ministers, Khazanah wishes to clarify its role where it is actively assisting the Government through the Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department, YB Tan Sri Dr. Koh Tsu Koon, in the formulation and implementation of the KPI system for Ministers.

Khazanah has been actively contributing as a member of the working team reporting to YB Tan Sri Dr. Koh Tsu Koon. The working team also consists of other relevant Government departments and agencies as well as external subject matter experts.

Going forward, Khazanah expects to continue contributing to the programme and draw upon its experience as the Secretariat to the GLC Transformation Programme as well as its business network locally and internationally. Under the GLC Transformation Programme, the KPI system has been successfully implemented by the Government-Linked Companies (GLCs) since 2004.
