KUALA LUMPUR, 22 April 2026 – Khazanah Nasional Berhad (“Khazanah”) wishes to alert the public of fraudulent activities carried out by scammers who are misusing the sovereign wealth fund’s name, logo, and branding with the intention to deceive, particularly through social media platforms and instant messaging applications.
These accounts may attempt to lure individuals into fraudulent investment schemes or circulate misleading information. Khazanah has also been notified of attempts via instant messaging platforms such as Telegram where scammers misuse the images and identities of its senior leadership to promote false investment opportunities.
Dato’ Suhana Dewi Selamat, Head, Governance, Risk and Compliance at Khazanah Nasional said, “Khazanah does not offer public investment schemes or solicit funds from individuals. As an institutional investor, our investments are anchored in delivering sustainable, long-term value and impact for the nation. We do not provide retail investment services such as unit trusts, mutual funds or investment platforms for individuals.”
Members of the public are strongly advised not to respond to suspicious messages, share personal information or make any payments to individuals or entities claiming to represent Khazanah in offering investment schemes or opportunities.
“Any parties claiming to represent Khazanah offering unrealistic and quick investment returns should be treated as fraudulent. We will not hesitate to take appropriate legal action and work with the authorities to act against those who misuse our name and identity,” added Suhana.
