We refer to media reports on the restructuring of Malaysian Airline System Berhad (“MAS”) involving the privatisation of MAS attributed to unnamed sources.
We wish to clearly state that the above reports are speculative.
As Khazanah has stated previously, a comprehensive review of restructuring options for MAS is being undertaken and evaluated. The resolution of this review will be made after due consideration and after respective approvals from the relevant parties and authorities, including the approval of the Special Shareholder, Minister of Finance, Incorporated.
