Bangunan Sultan Abdul Samad

Bangunan Sultan Abdul Samad forms part of a historic civic complex that once served as the administrative centre of the Selangor state and the country.

The site is closely associated with key national milestones, including Malaysia’s independence.

A total of six buildings in the complex have been entrusted to Dana Warisan for phased restoration, with the first phase being Bangunan Sultan Abdul Samad and Pejabat Pos Besar Lama, focusing on adaptive reuse while preserving their architectural and historical significance.

Upon completion, the site will be reintroduced as a cultural and creative space, allowing public access to areas that were previously closed while maintaining its role as a national landmark.
