Khazanah further strengthens Senior Leadership Team
Khazanah Nasional Berhad (“Khazanah”) today announced new appointments and changes to its Senior Leadership Team (“SLT”), as follows:
The changes and appointments are part of Khazanah’s ongoing and periodic strengthening of its Senior Leadership Team.
Mohamed Nasri Sallehuddin joined Khazanah on 1 September 2009 as Director of Legal, CSS and was appointed as Director, Head of CSS effective 1 August 2014, where he oversees the CSS Support Operations & Corporate Development Unit (“CDU”) and undertakes the role of General Counsel and Company Secretary of Khazanah. In 2014, he was named “Malaysia’s In-House Lawyer of the Year” at the ALB Malaysia Law Awards 2014. Mohamed Nasri holds an LLB (Hons) degree from Aberystwyth University, Wales and an MBA from the University of Strathclyde Business School, UK. He was called to the degree of an Utter Barrister by the Honourable Society of Gray’s Inn in 1995 and admitted to the High Court of Malaya as an advocate and solicitor in 1996.
Omar Siddiq Bin Amin Noer Rashid is currently Managing Director and Regional Head for Technology, Media, Telecoms and Aviation in the Investment Banking Division, CIMB. He was with Khazanah as Director, Investments for one and a half years from 1 August 2008 to 28 February 2010. Omar received a Degree in Economics from London School of Economics in 1996.
Javier Santiso is currently Managing Director, Global Affairs & New Ventures at Telefonica where he is the founder of Amerigo and Talentum Startups programmes designed to boost accelerator ecosystems in Europe and Latin America. He is also a Professor of Economics and Vice President of ESADEgeo at ESADE Business School where he has been leading research on sovereign wealth funds and emerging markets. Previously, he was Director General and Chief Economist at OECD Development Centre. Javier studied at Sciences Po Paris, HEC School of Management Paris, Oxford University and Harvard University. He holds an MBA and PhD in Economics and Finance, specialising in emerging markets.
Latifah Daud brings with her a breadth and depth of both local and international experience over a span of more than 20 years in Human Resources. Most recently based in Shanghai for nearly eight years, Latifah was the Asia Pacific Senior Staffing Director at Honeywell. Prior to that, Latifah worked at Freescale Semiconductor/Motorola Malaysia, Renong Group/Hatibudi Nominees and Arab-Malaysian Merchant Bank. She holds an MBA and a BSc. in Computer Management from Eastern Illinois University, USA.
The latest changes and additions to the SLT supplement the ongoing institution building efforts which remain a key focus at Khazanah. With this announcement, Khazanah’s SLT, led by the Managing Director, increases from 17 to 20 members, as follows:
