Khazanah announces appointments and changes to refresh and further strengthen Senior Leadership Team
Khazanah Nasional Berhad (“Khazanah”) today announced several new appointments and changes to its Senior Leadership Team (“SLT”), as follows:
The new appointments and changes are part of Khazanah’s periodic refresh and strengthening of its Senior Leadership Team.
Nik Rizal Kamil joined Khazanah in April 2011 as Senior Vice President, Investments. He started his professional career as an accountant and auditor with Coopers & Lybrand United Kingdom before joining Arthur Andersen & Co. He has also served with several Royal Dutch Shell companies in the region and the United Kingdom. Nik Rizal holds a B.Sc. (Hons) in Economics and Accounting from University of Bristol, and a M.Sc. (Finance) from London Business School. He is also a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants England and Wales (“ICAEW”).
Serena Tan Mei Shwen joined Khazanah as Vice President, Investments in 2005. Prior to Khazanah, she was with Boston Consulting Group and McKinsey & Co. She has also served with Lippo Bank in Indonesia, under secondment from Khazanah for two years. Serena holds a Bachelor of Commence degree in Accounting and Finance from Macquarie University, Australia, and a Master’s in Business Administration under the MIT Sloan Fellows programme at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Roni Lihawa Abdul Wahab is currently Managing Director, Head of Global Banking at HSBC Bank Malaysia Berhad. His previous stint at Khazanah was as Director, Investments from 2005 to 2010. Roni started his career in investment banking with Capstar Partners Inc. and J.P Morgan Securities Inc. in New York. He has also worked at UEM Group and at Credit Suisse, where he was Director, Head of Malaysia Coverage. Roni holds a B.Sc. (Economics) majoring in Corporate Finance and Actuarial Science from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
Faridah Bakar Ali joined Khazanah as Assistant Vice President, Finance in May 2006. Prior to joining Khazanah, she was with PricewaterhouseCoopers Malaysia and BP Malaysia Berhad. Faridah holds a B.A. in Accounting and Finance from University of Lancaster, United Kingdom. She is an Associate of the ICAEW and a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (“MIA”).
Suhana Dewi Selamat joined Khazanah as Senior Vice President, Investments in November 2012. Prior to joining Khazanah, Suhana was the Director/ Country Head of Compliance with Credit Suisse in Malaysia. She has more than 20 years of experience in legal, regulatory and compliance roles. She also serves on the Board of Trustees of WWF Malaysia as its Honorary Legal Adviser. Suhana read law at London School of Economics. She was called to the Malaysian Bar in 1997.
The new appointments and changes to the SLT supplements Khazanah’s ongoing institutionalisation efforts, which are a key focus for the organisation. With this announcement, Khazanah’s SLT led by Managing Director Tan Sri Dato’ Azman Hj. Mokhtar will have 21 members.
