Jelawang Capital is Khazanah’s national fund-of-funds under Dana Impak, established to develop Malaysia’s venture capital ecosystem through investments in and partnerships with fund managers.
It channels capital to high-potential startups by supporting capable general partners, while strengthening the overall ecosystem through improved access to funding, expertise and networks.
Jelawang Capital operates through two core initiatives.
The Emerging Fund Managers’ Programme (EMP) develops local venture capital firms by strengthening their capabilities, governance and track record. The Regional Fund Managers’ Initiative (RMI) attracts experienced international fund managers, bringing capital, expertise and global networks into Malaysia.
Through this approach, Jelawang Capital supports the growth of startups, encourages innovation and contributes to the development of a more connected and competitive venture capital ecosystem.
