Khazanah Residency Programme (KRP)
Khazanah established the Khazanah Residency Programme in 2013 to develop Malaysian talent in the media and creative sectors through international exposure and professional immersion.
The programme operates through structured residencies, including placements at institutions such as the University of Cambridge and ACME Studios in London, enabling participants to deepen their craft and broaden their perspectives. Positioned as a long-term investment in talent and industry capability, the programme also fosters knowledge sharing and ecosystem development upon participants’ return.
Khazanah Media Residency (KNWPF)
The Khazanah Media Residency supports Malaysian journalists and communications professionals through a structured fellowship at Wolfson College, University of Cambridge. Participants undertake independent research with academic guidance, gaining exposure to global media practices and perspectives relevant to the Malaysian context. The programme focuses on strengthening analytical capabilities, editorial depth and professional networks within the media and communications ecosystem. Since its inception, it has supported multiple cohorts of fellows who contribute back through knowledge-sharing, outreach and engagement within the industry.
Khazanah Art Residency (KAAR)
The Khazanah Art Residency supports emerging Malaysian artists through an international residency programme at ACME Studios in London. Participants are provided with dedicated space and time to develop new work, experiment with ideas and engage with the global arts community. The programme emphasises creative development, exposure and collaboration, enabling artists to refine their practice and prepare for the next stage of their careers. Upon completion, alumni contribute to the local arts ecosystem through exhibitions, collaborations and knowledge-sharing, supporting the development of Malaysia’s creative sector.
